These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ChorifIQ mobile application and related services (the "Service"), operated by ChorifIQ LLC ("we," "our," or "us").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account. If you create or manage a child account, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian and consent to the collection and use of the child's information as described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Accounts
- You agree to provide accurate information.
- You are responsible for maintaining account confidentiality.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Child accounts must be created and managed by a verified parent or guardian.
3. Family Accounts & Child Users
Child accounts are linked to a parent account and may not independently purchase subscriptions or manage billing settings. Parents control access and notification preferences for child accounts.
When creating an account, ChorifIQ may consult platform-provided age signals APIs (such as those offered by Apple or Google) to suggest an age group. These APIs do not transmit any personal data to us — only a general age-range indication provided by the platform is used, and no underlying verification data is collected or stored. Regardless of any platform suggestion, you must review and confirm your age group selection before it takes effect.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
In-App Purchases
Subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by those platforms. Payment will be charged to your account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You may manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple App Store or Google Play settings.
Website Purchases
If offered, subscriptions purchased through our website are governed by the terms presented at checkout and may be managed within your account dashboard.
Refunds
Refund requests for in-app purchases must be directed to Apple or Google. We cannot process refunds for purchases made through third-party app stores.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems
- Upload illegal or abusive content
- Interfere with operation of the Service
6. User Content
Content created within family groups is private and not publicly displayed. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a limited license to use it to operate and improve the Service.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers to deliver core functionality, including:
- Supabase — Data storage and authentication
- Firebase (Google) — Push notifications and crash diagnostics
- RevenueCat — Subscription and entitlement management (receives your email and display name for subscriber identification)
- Apple App Store / Google Play — In-app billing, payment processing, and optional platform age signals (no personal data collected)
- Resend — Transactional email delivery
- Twilio — SMS notification delivery
Your use of the Service may be subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies of these providers. We are not responsible for the independent practices of third-party services.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time within the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChorifIQ LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. SMS Messaging Program
Program Name
ChorifIQ SMS Notifications
Program Description
ChorifIQ sends transactional SMS text messages to users who have opted in to SMS notifications. Messages are limited to a daily morning chore digest and/or an evening reminder for incomplete chores.
Message Frequency
Up to 2 messages per day. Morning and evening notifications each have an individual opt-in setting, so you receive only the message types you enable.
Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details.
Opt-Out Instructions
To stop receiving SMS messages from ChorifIQ, reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message at any time. You will receive a one-time opt-out confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent. You may also disable SMS notifications within the ChorifIQ app settings. To re-enable SMS notifications after opting out via keyword, open the ChorifIQ app and go to Settings > Daily Chore Digest.

Privacy
Your phone number is used only to deliver the SMS notifications you have opted into. This mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with any third party for any purpose. All other categories of data sharing exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
